Although the people think that low carbohydrate diet will be helpful in losing weight but there are some associated health risks with the low carbohydrate diet like it increases the risk of premature mortality in the majority of the population, it hinders the required energy need of the body specially the brain and other highly perfuse organs of the body. Also it leads to development of various chronic diseases like coronary heart disease, cancer as well as various cerebrovascular diseases.  Hence it is suggested to avoid the long term low carbohydrate diet in the diet plan.
