1. Goal is to promote health of individuals by identifying risk factors at the earliest and adopting a healthy lifestyle. For this particular program, goal is to identify individuals with risk factors of developing heart disease and hypertension, to take treatment so as to prevent further disabilities.
2. It is a risk reduction program as it will help to identify individuals with hypertension and other risk factors for developing heart disease . Hypertension is a risk factor of developing further problems like bleeding disorders, aneurysms, eye problems. Thus it is a risk reduction program.
3. Healthy people 2010 focus on health education, skill development and lifestyle behaviour change providing supportive physical and social environment, applying screening programs whereas in healthy people 2020, national occupational research agenda is established to research and improve workplace practices.
