Adrenergic Drugs-
1) centrally acting adrenergic drug- it inhibit the stimulation of the central nervous system alpha -adrenergic receptors and decrease sympathetic stimulation to the blood vessel and the heart. This lead to lower the blood pressure.This drug is used to treat hypertension.
Peripherally acting adrenergic drug- it reduces resistance to blood flow in small arteries by inhibiting the release of epinephrine and norepinephrine.
