Pharmacist and pharmacy technicians work together in a pharmacy or clinical settings. they have some similarities and differences in their qualification, job responsibilities etc.

Both the pharmacist and pharmacy technicians handle the prescribed medicine from a physician. They deal with the customers, doctors office and insurance companies about the prescription of medicine. they both count, mix, weigh and pour medication. customer satisfaction and overall health and wellbeing of the community is their goal.

However, to be a pharmacist someone needs to complete the bachelor of pharmacy or masters in pharmacy but a pharmacy technician only needs matriculation as a qualification to work because their job responsibility is to assist pharmacist. the pharmacist can clarify the doubts of consumer or a physician, unlike pharmacy technician. pharmacist deals with the clinical and scientific needs of a pharmacy while technicians concentrate in the administrative section. the earnings of pharmacists are much more than the pharmacy technician.
