1. ANS: According to the given situation at first a nurse should instruct to the patient to wear eye protector and wraparound sunglasses for next 4 hours.

Do not lift any heavy objects

Do not sleep on the operated side for 1 to 4 weeks

Do not bend over because it can increases pressure on eye

Call the physician if you had following symptoms like vomiting, nausea, worsening vision, eye bleeding and high fever

2. ANS: Demonstrate how to apply eye drops correctly and how to wash hands properly. Use eye drops as directed, close eye for a few seconds, Tilt head backward, Pull bottom eyelid down, Squeeze one drop into eye without touching the tip of the bottle to the eye, Wait a few minutes before applying the next drop, if ordered.
