A patient tells you that he is taking multiple vitamin supplements including 1000 mg of ascorbic acid, 5 mg of thiamin, 10 mg of riboflavin, and 50 mg of vitamin B₆. How would you evaluate this vitamin regimen? What advice would you give him and why? Develop menus for 2 days that include good food sources of these vitamins.

Ascorbic acid normal dose for adults 70 to 150mg daily
Normal dose of Thiamine per day not more than 1.2mg /day daily
Riboflavin normal dose for adults 1.3mg/day
Vitamin B6 normal dose for males 1.3mg/day
Patient taking overdose of vitamin supplements. Multivitamins are a combination of many different vitamins ,it is useful to get vitamins for our body and to treat vitamin deficiency..Overdose of vitamins can cause serious or life threatening side effects..It is not advisable to take more than one vitamin at a time,it can serious side effects..over dose multivitamin can cause stomach pain,vomiting,diarrhea, constipation,loss of appetite, hair loss,bone break down, weight loss,head ache,joint bone,bleeding disorder and easy bruising..Patient can take supplementary vitamins through foods rich in vitamins..It will never give any side effects..
Menus rich in vitamin:
Day 1:
break fast:
- 1 boiled egg
- 1 bowl banana oatmeal
lunch:
- 1 greek yogurt
-1 glass of orange juice
- 1 bowl of half cooked carrot rice
- 5piece of grilled sweet potatoes
Dinner:
- 1/2 backed salmon with yogurt
-1/2 bowl brussels sprouts
- 1/2 italian meatloaf
snack:
-2 cheese stuffed mushroom
- fresh strawberry milkshake
Day 2:
break fast:
- 1/2 cup black coffee
1/2 cup cottage cheese with blue berries
- 2 slice of bread
Lunch:
-1 bowl pf spinach,kale and collard greens sandwich
-1 bowl of fresh papaya
- 1/2 plate of cooked liver with red pepper
- 1/2 bowl of dark green creamy soup
snack:
- 1bar of dark chocolate
- Handful of dried fruits
Dinner:
- 2 garlic bread
- 1 glass of avocados milk shake
-1/2 bowl of cooked green peas..
