Race is a group which shares in common a certain set of innate physical characteristics and a geographical origin within a certain area. There are two types of racism

Individual racism:belief that one own race is superior to another and exhibits behavior that suppress the inferior race. Eg of racist attitudes include bigotry, belittling and jealousy.

Institutional racism

Takes the form of practices, customs, rules and standards of organizations, including government that unnecessarily disadvantaged people because of their race, color or ethnicity. Eg consists of established laws, customs and practices that systematically reflect and produce racial inequalities in US society.
