Answer #1

half life = 3hours

rate 300mg per hour for 12 hours

total infusion = 12× 300 = 3600mg

half life is 3 hours

so at the end of 3 hours total plasma level 900mg

at the end of 6 hours 900/2 + 900 = 1350

at the end of 9 hours 1350/2 + 900 = 1575

at the end of 12 hours 1575/2 + 900 = 1687.5

at the end of 15 hours = 1687.5/2 = 843.75

at the end of 18 hours that is after 6 hours of infusion = 843.75/ 2 = 421.875mg

so the plasma concentration will be 421.875/ 100 = 0.422mg
