Answer: Due to diversity in the population at present, it is necessary for the healthcare professionals to be a cultural competence, to understand the differences between the culture of the patients and then act accordingly. For being cultural competence it is necessary for the healthcare professionals to have an effective communication with the patients. This transcultural Communication plays major role as with the help of the communication, the healthcare professionals becomes able to understand the importance of the patient's culture and beliefs. This will lead to enhanced treatment, caring etc.

Once the transcultural Communication is being understood, the patient feels more comfortable and free to discuss the problem and health issues with the heathcare providers.
