Workforce planning is a planning that aims to predict the demand for different skills and considers how best to manage the supply of suitably qualified ,competent and skilled people to meet that demand .

Steps :

  • To define the plan.
  • To map the change in the business.
  • To define the required workforce .
  • To understand the availability of the workforce.
  • To plan to provide the required workforce.
  • To implement , monitor and refresh the plan.

Importance :

I is hugely related to the analysis done on the part of knowing and understanding what exactly an organisation needs : in terms of its size ,experience ,type, knowledge and skills of its employees or workforce to achieve that desired results .

Importance :

  • Easy running of business.
  • Talent replacement.
  • Poaching
  • For bridging gap.
  • For internal grooming .

Recruitment and retension are important

Recruitment refers to the process of attracting ,screening and selecting qualified people for a position with in an organisation .in addition there are costs incurred in screening ,verifying credentials and references interviewing ,hiring and training a new employee.

Importance :

Retension of a positive and motivated employee is very important for the organisation success .

High employee turnover increases the expenses and also has negative impact on the organisation morale

It helps to support an organisation productivity .
