Answer #1

ANSWER.

17) Calculation of infusion finishing time.

          Formula.

              Flow rate(gtt/min) = Volume(ml) / Time(min) * Drop factor

                 Time(min) = Volume/Flow rate * Drop factor

          Here

               Volume = 1L (1000ml)

               Flow rate (gtt/min) = 22 gtt/min.

               Drop factor = 20 gtt/mL.

            Time(min) = 1000/22 * 20

                             = 45.45 * 20

                             = 909 min.

                             = 15 hour 15 min.

         Infusion begin time = 9.55 A.M.

         Infusion finishing time = 9.55 A.M + 15 hour 15 min.

                                                 = 1.10 A.M.
