Breastfeeding mother is a lactating mother, someone who breastfeeds her baby with her breastmilk . It is one of the most important role that a lactating women plays during this phase. She provides her breastmilk to her infant in order to make her survive in the world. It is very important for an infant to feed on his/ her mother's milk until he reaches 6 months. He drinks only mother's milk and nothing more than that . Also in today's scenario a women is equal to a man and hence works as much as a man does. So she tries to return to her work as soon as she recovers from the delivery. But as a nursing mother she faces various challenges in her daily routine as well as her work areas. She will not be able to take care of her baby and also if she leaves her baby with someone then she won't be able to focus on her work . Hence it is very much difficulty for a nursing mother to return to her daily life and her work life after giving birth.
As being a health care professionals it is very much important for us to understand the difficulty faced by the mother and that her difficulty in feeding her child when he requires food. We must seek a way to help them be available to their babies whenever they are required to. A healthcare delivery organization can play a very important role in this. They can perform various educational plays, seminars , health talks etc to make the society understand the importance of the feeding of a mother to her child as well as the importance of their determination to work. We should be able to bring this issue in the eyes of the government and let them think over this matter more, we should also make the people of society and community understand the importance of the mother and her child bonding and the importance of the mother's milk hence the idea of allowing them to feed in the public places, the idea of building a breastfeeding efficient areas , areas to change the diapers of the children etc should be made by the government. We should introduce the awareness about this issue infront of the people and tell them about its importance. The nurses should always be ready to help the nursing mother whenever and wherever possible. We should make them feel comfortable around the presence of public and to avoid the complaints of the people.
