Quarterly force survey for the first quarter 2018 statistics South Africa indicate the south African working-age ratio population 1,53,000 compared to 2017. There is high employment and unemployment ration increased the labor force participation rate by 59.3%.
Unemployment rate unchanged from 26.7% from 2017. In the first quarter of 2018, there were employment gains among the formal sector, informal sectors, priate households. Job loss down by 3000 compared to 2017. Discouraged work-seeker 2,49,000, not economically active 4,30,000 results with a decrease in not economically active workers in 2017 and 2018. Unemployment rate unchanged in 2018 compared to 2017, it reduced in two of the provisions.
A 10.3millions persons aged 15-24 years not employed in 2018, one in three young South African aged 15-24 disengaged from the labor market. The NEET rate remained unchanged in 2018.
