Answer #1

Although there is little difference between the institutional nursing care and home care but the basics remains the same . The patient care which is provided in the organisation and home is the same but the home care will provide more comfort than institutional care because known people are taking care of , the environment is not new , it's your own house etc .

Now , my institution has decided to give more emphasis on home care rather than institutional care because more than half of the recovery period of the patient is spend at home . During the recovery period they should be provided with high quality care ,comfort , stress free environment , good diet etc which is very nicely provided at home by the family members of the patient .

This would a be change for all the staffs working there . To adapt to this and to provide an efficient home care services I will join the weekly classes held in our institute on home care along with reading books related to home care nursing . It would help me as well as help me to make the family members learn how to provide high quality patient care and different aspects of it including diet , medications etc .
