Ans) The chimney swift are the birds which will be in the chimney and they stay or makes the nest in the chimneys silently with their skill and they stay very victoriously. Not only in the chimneys but also they will make nest in the wells and in the bricks which is having accommodation availability. These are American birds and in the olden days they had stayed in the holes of the trees, but now there are no trees and because of that they currently used to stay in the masonry chimneys they. And only because of this their name has transferred from American Swifts to the chimney Swifts.

The chimney swifts nourishes during the fly. They are insectivorous hunt around on the wing. They usually nourish on flying insects like wasps, bees, aphids, stoneflies etc.And which is incubated by 2 parents and the eggs normally hatch in around 20 days. The new born or the small chimneys will be usually blind and naked and they will be living in the chimney itself for around 30 days.

These birds will be leaving from their living place and they will use their full day on the wing searching and accumulating lots of flies, mosquitoes and gnats. And normally the males are mainly take part often than females in additional parent support. And they lay around 4-5 eggs normally. And they are included in the family Apodidae.
