Describe the purpose of the logic model and how it is used in program development. Discuss the purpose of input, output, and outcomes in the model.
Please provide a reference.
Ans) Logic models are used by planners, funders, managers and evaluators of programs and interventions to plan, communicate, implement and evaluate them. They are being employed as well by health scientific community to organize and conduct literature reviews such as systematic reviews.
- Many authors and guides use the following template when speaking about logic model:
Input: what resources go into a program
e.g. money, staff, equipment
Activities: what activities the program undertakes
e.g. development of materials, training programs
Outputs: what is produced through those activities
e.g. number of booklets produced, workshops held, people trained
Outcome/Impacts: the changes or benefits that result from the program
e.g. increased skills/ knowledge/ confidence, leading in longer-term to promotion, new job, etc.
Many refinements and variations have been added to the basic template.
For example, many versions of logic models set out a series of outcomes/impacts, explaining in more detail the logic of how an intervention contributes to intended or observed results. Others often distinguish short-term, medium-term and long-term results, and between direct and indirect results.

1. Discuss the "equity theory" Model by doing the following: describe the purpose/use of this model and then describe how equity sensitivity relates to the model and one challenge or problem managers face in using this model. 2. Describe the three needs in the learned needs theory 3. Describe the General Adaptation Syndrome and its three stages 4. Explain the difference between surface-level diversity and deep-level diversity and give specific examples of each of these types of diversity. 5. Define...

Styles Answer the following: 1. What is the first step in creating a logic model for a health promotion program? 2. Write down a hypothetical problem statement that includes the following components: -children -obesity -South Bronx -Increase 3. List at least three things to keep in mind when developing a program goal. a. 4. Why is it important to list available resources as part of our logic model? List the six types of resources commonly used in health promotion programs:...
the purpose of a program evaluation is to assess program outcomes. What are program outcomes? How do evaluators identify relevant outcomes for evaluation? what is the importance of evidence-based research in program evaluation.
Describe the Square of Opposition a. What is categorical logic? b. What is the purpose of the Square of Opposition? c. Identify key features of the Square of Opposition. d. Explain how the Square of Opposition is used to translate statements into standard-form claims and corresponding standard-form claims including description of the relationships that are depicted within the square.
Discuss the purpose of the Systems Development Life Cycle, and apply it to a personal or professional situation and discuss how it applies. Detail the steps in the cycle.
Directions: Normal development is studied and used as a model in which to compare development that deviates from the norm. Pick either normal development or development that deviates from the norm and describe an individual during the period of emerging adulthood and young adulthood, which is age 18 to 39. Tasks: Create a fictitious case study of a person in emerging adulthood or young adulthood, which is age 18-39, with a name and an age. Describe information about the...
Describe a health promotion model used to initiate behavioral changes. How does this model help in teaching behavioral changes? What are some of the barriers that affect a patient's ability to learn? How does a patient's readiness to learn, or readiness to change, affect learning outcomes?
