Answer: It is called common core because it is mainly concerned with the initial level that needs to upgrade the level of learning from kindergarten itself.

The standard means that there are set of academic standards for which every student is required and expected to learn in each class or grade level.

The common core mainly focus on the learning skills of the students as they need to succeed in the college or graduation level as well as in the working organizations. This should be supported because it also make sure that students are getting sufficient as well as strong education inrespective of their states.
