Rule of nine for burn patient:-

Head = 9% (whole head including face, neck and scalp)

(anterior 3.5% and posterior 3.5%, 1% throat, 1% neck)

Chest and Abdomen = 18% (9% anterior aspect of chest and rest of 9 % Abdomen)

Upper limb= each hand (whole) counted as 9% so both hand comprises 18%

Perineal area counted 1%

Lower limbs each leg counts 18% (anterior aspect and posterior aspects including upper and lower like thigh 4.5% anterior, leg 4.5% anterior) so both limbs have 36%

Back (whole back upper and lower including both buttocks) 18%

Total body area counts 100%
