Answer #1

Leadership is about getting people to understand and believe in your vision and to work with you to achieve your goals while managing is more about administering and making sure the day-to-day things are happening as they should. Overall we can say that leaders have people to follow them while managers have people to work for them .

Both the tasks are directed towards achievement of goals. The areas where leadership and management overlap:-

Bringing teams together and directing activities are responsibilities that are common to both leadership and management, while the goals for the teams may be different. Whereas managers use teams to make improvements, often leaders use teams to accomplish change for different reasons.

Nurses as a leader can make changes by taking advantage of this overlap by utilising the other staffs to work together in as a team to accomplish the goal by assigny different responsibilities to each one of them which will enhance their self esteem also along with goal attainment.
