Alcohol causes toxicity to liver,an alcoholic is always aware of it but having a strong desire to drink as they are psychologically dependent on it and cannot stop drinking it, even when they promise not to consume .There is always a controversy that why should an alcoholic get a liver transplant when they themselves are responsible for damaging their liver.This also becomes a concern when it comes on the grounds of ethics, besides all these issues an alcoholic person who stays on the priority of organ transplant or gets qualified for it deserves to get it.They are given a second opportunity to stop drinking after transplantation and lead a quality life.
