I) Weight of the patient = 55 pounds =55*0.454= 24.98 kg

Dise of the drug = 0.1 ml/kg = 0.1 * 25 = 2.5 ml

So 1/2 tsp(2.5 ml) , written on the measuring device should be administered.

II)If the patient receives 6 doses per day, she will receive 2.5*6 = 15 ml

5 ml contains 16.2 mg of phenobarbital.

So 15 ml will contain 16.2*15/5 = 48.6 mg

Per kg = 48.6/24.98= 1.95 mg/kg/day

Recommended dose = 4-6 mg/kg/day

So it is within the recommended doses.

III) w/v means number of grams in 100 ml of solution.

Hyoscyamine = 0.1037 mg per 5 ml

In w/v percentage concentration = 0.1037/5 * 100 = 2.074 mg

= 0.00274% = 0.003 % w/v
