4) Summarization of introduction:

The study focuses on health care complexity and the need for all health care professionals to demonstrate effective leadership. Regisitered nurse in advance nursing practice should complete graduate education. RN must possess expert level of knowledge and complex decision making skills and clinical competency. In Canada 2 types of ANP roles are recognized formally and they are Clinical nurse specialists and Nurse practitioners. Both roles requires masters level of education and five competencies like clinical practice, medical diagnosis , ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and other treatments and functions.

5) Methods used int his research study :  

The study population is Advance practice nurses Purposive sampling of advance practice nurses working in tertiary acute care facilities in Eastern Canada. A total of 14 advance practice nurses were selected and data was collected using face to face interview using audiotapes semi-structured questions. Data analysis was analyzed using NVIVO 10 software.

6) Results: Patient focussed leadership and system focused leadership improves the advance practice nurse leaders performance in patient care and thus it contributes to improvement in care environment for patient, family , nurse and other health care providers. This the study proves effectiveness of advance nursing practice and it's positive influence on patient care environment.

7) conclusion states health care environment is dynamic and the nurse practitioner must be ready to meet the change. Every advance nurse practitioner must understand their own leadership capabilities and incorporate in daily practice.

8) The study encompasses two Advance nurse practitioner capabilities model and core competencies model. It highlights a formal education will results in a fruitful change in nurses status.
