Lollipop moment refers to a period when an individual experiences a positive approach towards life from a negativity through a third person.
As an individual one can experience this lollipop moment in everyday life.
For example : a child scored low in academics will be in a state of fear to express it to parents. Here the teacher can stand as a person or as a mediator by encouraging the child that they can perform better with hardworking and sincerity.
Otherwise when the child reaches home and is in a surprising shock from parents by receiving their favourite toys /gifts/ or a chocolate cake or anything else which they were asking for a longer time to their parents.The parents showing their appreciation of whatever marks they scored and encouraging them to do more or perform better by eliminating fear.
The leadership characteristics like motivating others for their performance, dedication, sincerity and good deeds,appraising others,being flexible ,providing equal opportunity, approachable,being inspiring ,as a role mode ,etc., These characteristics can make a nurse to handle the most complicated situations in a simpler and easier way in their clinical practice. They can be approached by patients easily and letting out their problems to get a solution ,the co workers can be efficient in a team work .Inculcating this in the nursing profession can improve the quality of care delivered.
