With rising population, numerous new problems which pose a threat to both the human community and natural world has arisen.

This can be understood as follows. With an increase in population, demand for shelter and other resources increase. This means more forests need to be cleared for agriculture, human settlements and industrial set up _ this leads to ecological imbalance; more chemical fertilizers are needed to be used to increase crop yields which introduces toxics into environment and food chain; more population means more consumption and thus more waste production. Increased activities of mining, transportation and communication, would add to pollution. Also, with increased population, global migrations would increase posing threats to spread of diseases, terror activities and socio-cultural conflicts.

In conclusion, we can say that with population growth, demand for resources increase, which puts excessive pressure on the limited natural resources available. This leads to over-exploitation of resources, pollution, migration, global threats, ecological imbalance and social disharmony.
