Answer #1

The key tenets of leadership skills will be applicable online as it was in offline mode. This is because the soft skills that is required for being a good leader is the same.

However, there will be a few additional challenges in leading people online. This is because the mode of communication has changed and will likely keep evolving over time. This may make connecting with the fellow team members a more difficult task.

In addition to this, other aspect leadership and types of leadership may remain the same. However, certain components such as that knowledge and expertise based leadership may require a bit diverse knowledge.

Consider an example of a senior consultant that is about to lead a group of team members through a construction project online. The knowledge and expertise of construction is important but so is the knowledge of how to work online. Thus there is an additional burden of expertise-based leadership on all the leaders.

Other than this, the rest of the leadership principles remain pretty same.
