There are a number of businesses which do not require the use of lean strategies or techniques in their business processes due to the inherent fact that the do not require any manufacturing unit to produce their product or service. Examples of such businesses includes a day trading company which would not require the use of lean methodology or, would not benefit much from the implementation of such a system. While there are other considerations, the most number of smaller businesses do not tend to use lean methodology in their business process due to the inherent fact that they neither have the resources to implement it, not, have the need or the growth scale in mind that they try to utilize it. Therefore, we can say that businesses such as family-run ice cream parlor, pizza joints and auto repair shops would not require or use lean methodology to augment their present business structure unless they have a sustainable growth plan in mind which would benefit from the implementation of the model when compared to the cost of its implementation for it to be considered feasible.
