Microbe does not mean only prokaryotic. Instead microbe is an organism which requires microscope so that it can be visualised. These organisms cannot be seen with a naked eye. Microbes like Algae are autotrophic in nature and are therefore producers. Microbes like fungi and certain protozoans are heterotrophic in nature. Microbes like some bacteri a are decomposers. So there is a great diversity of nutrition in microbes.
