Answer:

Due to obstruction of ureter (renal colic),a pain is generated due to dilation and stretching of ureter. Nephrolithiasis is a condition due to aggregation of the crystals (calculi) in the kidneys.

Diagnosis and the prognosis:

  • Ultrasonography is the best technique to identify the stones present in the kidneys.
  • Analysis of the kidneys stones, which may contain calcium oxalate or calcium phosphate
  • Helical computed tomography is advanced technique used to test stones in Kidneys, ureter and bladder.
  • X-rays is also done to identify stone in Kidneys ureter and bladder.

Renal lithiasis may lead be chronic kidney disease if treatment is not done.Chronic condition will block the flow of the urine and person may die due to block of urine passage.
