Answer #1

Radius = 0.6 m

Time required to complete 5 rotations = 0.06 s

Time for 1 rotation = 0.06/5 s = 0.012 s

Time for 4 rotations = 0.048 s

So, the bicycle wheel requires 0.048 seconds to complete four rotations.

Tthe slow, horizontal rotation of a spinning bicycle wheel with its axis oriented horizontally is called "precession," and we can talk about "rate of precession," in terms of how quickly the bicycle wheel rotates horizontally .Make a prediction and explain your prediction: if you spun up the bicycle wheel to spin faster before you let go of one end, will the bicycle wheel precess faster or slower?
