Homogeneous mixture of two or more substances in which solute is completely dissolves in solvent.Particle of true solution cannot be visible with naked eye.Particle size < 10^-9 m.

Colloidal solution

It is a hetrogeneous mixture,particles are small enough and cannot be seen through naked eyes.10^-9<Particle size<1000*10^-9.

4.When a beam of light is passed through a colloidal solution,the light scatters from the surface of colloidal particles and reaches our eyes.This phenomena is called tyndall effect.

Tyndall effect is used to determine whether a mixture is true solution or colloidal soltution.

When a beam of light is pass through a true sol,the light passes cleanly through the sol and when the light is passed through a colloidal solution,it scatters the light in all direction and make it easily seen.
