In case of young adulthood, the Development task mainly focuses on the following. In work tasks , it involves achievement, gaining self esteem and satisfaction with one's job and gaining acceptance in an organization. In the case of relationship tasks, it involves finding a mate , adapting with a partner and commiting to them, having and bringing up children if one desires to have them . The affective Development includes the ability to empathise and identify the issues with oneself and others , gaining self awareness and introspecting into one's actions and being selfless. In socialization, the Developmental tasks includes overcoming anxiety, ensuring a feeling of belongingness and approval , along with maintaining trusting interpersonal Relationships.
