Linear programming is a method to perform optimization and helps to solve complex optimization problems by simple assumption.

The manufacturing companies are used linear programming for their supply chain analysis, and their motive is to maximize production and minimize the cost. Linear programming used in organized retails for the optimization of shelf space. The linear programming is also used to find an optimized way for delivery in agriculture to determine what crops they should grow for better profit and benefits in energy industries to optimize the load requirement, generation, transmission distribution, and energy storage.

The use of 5W's as:

Describe the company's initial situation, determine critical factors that affect business and prioritize them, propose fittings, and practical actions.

What refers to an explanation about the energy industry's task, what activity is required to use to solve the problem and purpose of business and target of distribution are there.

Who refers to determining the energy business stakeholders responsible and affected people that are mostly affected and targets on managers, customers, and suppliers.

It should have when to includes determination time, and place, duration, and frequency to problems.

Where included the location and place, workshop, workstation.

Why included a description of motivation, the objective of process and reason behind a working method.

To apply management science, a plan should identify the problems, find the best method to resolve these problems, choose the model to test the idea, collect, and analyze the plan's test result.
