As we know the team is the collection of the different types of individuals who are combined to fulfill the assigned task or to accomplish the given objective. Thus it is very important for the team member to have a better understanding of how to make the team a more fruitful and collaborative unit where each member has his contribution towards the accomplishment fo the team goals. The members of the team must keep in mind that the team can be successful only when all the members corporate with each other and no incidence of social loafing occurs.
Diversity in the team is as important as other elements as this will bring the variety in the way problems are addressed and the members with the varied background will also increase the quality of decision making as the difference of opinion and attitude will definitely help the team to consider the different types of aspects of the problem.
Having a free flow of communication, clear responsibility, and assignment of the goals are the backbone of the team's success.

It is a fairly easy read but you can see the chapter summaries and view the summary on what TOC is to gain enough understanding to complete this assignment. I want you to consider your place of work (or a past employer) or if you have...

1) Describe a job you have had where the idea of "division of labor" has been put to good use. What economic principles did you see at work? For example, how did this affect efficiency, etc. 2) Can you think of an example where "division of labor" could be executed in a way that could be unhealthy...in a way that we could say we went overboard? 3) What do you think is the wave of the future in this concept?...
