First of all, Let's understand what a firewall is,
- A firewall may be a kind of software or hardware system which is designed to prevent the un authorization of an individual system or computer in a network. They work as defense and protect your network from other unauthorized persons.
- A firewall can be basically implemented either through software or hardware(consider a physical device) or sometimes both are implemented.
- These Hardware firewalls are built into routers which is a network device.
- The switch is used for communication with local devices whereas the router sends data to the internet and the networks safe, This will block unauthorized access.
Thus we can say that Hardware firewalls are built into network devices such as routers.
