Decision could be based on the following styles:
Democratic: If a decision is taken by asking and sharing the information with the group members or concerned groups. Democratic style encourages people to share their ideas and opinion and then the best decision can be taken.
Authoritative: Only the decision is taken by the leader. He/she first make a decision based on his/her knowledge and expertise and then let others know about the decision. He choose the best option offered by the members.This style is suitable when a person has to take a fast decision on something.
Authoritarian: In this style the decision is taken by the one person/leader only. It exercise a high control on the members. Members have no say in decision making. It involves absolute control over a group. Output of the members is never asked in this style.
There other form of decision making also but these three are most famous.
