A change model process is a 8-step process which was introduced by John Kotter in the year 1996, is as described below:

1. Increase urgency - In this step the potential threats are identified and highlighted.
2. Building a guiding team - The individuals which would contribute towards executing the change are identified and a team is formed.
3. Develop the vision - The strategies and core values are defined
4. Communication plan - The vision is communicated to the stakeholders.
5. Empowering employees and over coming challenges - This step tends to tackle the individuals who resist the change.
6. Create Short term wins - This helps boost team members' motivation such that they begin to feel good about themselves and work more enthusiastically towards achieving the ultimate goal.
7. Don't let up - Not to loose momentum and continue to progress achieving higher goals.
8. Sustain the changes- Ensure the change made is endured for a long duration.
