A study on mice was designed to investigate the link between diabetes and air pollution. The study involved 28 mice, with 14 randomly selected to have filtered air pumped into their cage while the other 14 breathed a particular matter that simulated common air pollution. The amount of insulin resistance in the group of mice that breathed air pollution was higher. The higher insulin resistance indicates a greater risk of developing diabetes.
Based on these results, Is it reasonable to conclude that breathed air pollution causes a greater risk of developing diabetes (at least in mice)

For the given question, there is no inclusion of Confidence Level. When we try to frame Null Hypothesis against Alternate Hypothesis, we try to conclude the test result in terms of p value. If the signifincance level is not mentioned in the observational study, then it becomes difficult to conclude any result.

Also the test sample is taken very small. We should increase the sample size for normality assumption. Otherwise we can't use Central limit theorem.
