1. In this image, in 2nd generation only one boy is affected and rest three children are normal. It means that this condition is not X linked. If it was X linked, a particular sex would have been affected. This is an autosomal condition. If it was an autosomal dominant condition, then the 2nd generation child 2 is affected then he must be either Aa or AA. Rest all should be homozygous recessive then. The child 4 is normal (homozygous recessive) and marries someone who is also normal (homozygous recessive) but they produce a child with disease (AA or Aa). This is not possible. Therefore this Disease is not autosomal dominant. This is an autosomal recessive condition.

2. In this pedigree, both sexes are affected. This means that it is not an X linked disease. In generation 1, father is affected and mother is normal but daughter is diseased. It Is an autosomal dominant disorder because parents and children are affected in this condition. In recessive condition,parents are unaffected and children are affected. Autosomal dominant
