A) There are many ways to see the extinction of a species at particular time and place due to tool available today but unfortunately there are limited approach to measure he time of an organism or species arises and a roughly idea can be drawn thereby most of people generally have argue on the origin of new species. B) Both event is greatly related, when mass extinction happened due to food, or climatic change or any other reason and large number of species wiped out, which eventually leads to adaptive radiation. The habitat become (niche) become empty when mass extinction occurs in a species which lure the other species or organism to occupy the empty room for their survival and it would be the part of evolution and diversity among animals.

C) The reason behind such mass extinction is

1. Climatic change such as severe volcanic eruption or impact on the planate at a particular are due to asteroid.

2. Another significant reason is overconsumption, as for last few decades, people have developed more palatability on sea food and over hunting may cause mass extinction of a species.

Other reason could be reduction in proliferation and pollution etc.

D) Yes, they would be genetically diverse even though no natural selection observed due to gene pool in the population and environment.
