Answer:
Research published articles evaluating a public health intervention. Choose one article and discuss the framework, methodology, procedures, and findings.
Let us take into consideration the article on “Criteria for evaluating evidence on public health interventions”
Framework:
Public health interventions are a complex, programmatic and context dependent phenomenon. The evidence for their effectiveness must be sufficiently comprehensive to include and provide rationale for those complexities. This research article asks whether and to what extent evaluative research on public health interventions can be adequately conducted by applying well established criteria for judging the quality of evidence in clinical practice. It is found out that these criteria are useful in evaluating some aspects of evidence. The evaluation of evidence must distinguish between the cause of the evaluation process in detecting the success or failure of an intervention, and the success or failure of the intervention itself. Moreover, if an intervention is unsuccessful, the evidence should help to determine whether the intervention was inherently faulty. Proper interpretation of the evidence depends upon the availability of descriptive information on the intervention and its context, so that the transferability of the evidence can be determined.
Methodology:
The research for the selected topic was conducted by taking into consideration the secondary data available with the researcher. He has relied on the previous researches being conducted by the researchers in the similar area and has tried to identify the gap of the researches on the topic. He has then developed certain principles on the basis of the research gap through the use of the secondary data.
Procedure:
Researcher has used evaluative approach for conducting the research study. He has selected certain variables for the study such as the complexity of the public health intervention system, context dependent phenomenon and quality of evidence in clinical practice. All these variables are compared with their standard performance and a general understanding in terms of findings has been presented in the research article.
Findings:
An evaluation of the adequacy of evidence about an intervention should include an examination of the range of outcomes considered. The evaluation criteria should help to determine whether the measured outcomes encompassed (a) the interests of people who might be involved in deciding on or delivering the intervention and (importantly) those affected by it; (b) unanticipated as well as anticipated effects of the intervention, beneficial or otherwise; and (c) the efficiency of the intervention, as well as its effectiveness.
The appraisal of evidence about public health interventions should encompass not only the credibility of evidence, but also its completeness and its transferability. The evaluation of an intervention’s effectiveness should be matched to the stage of development of that intervention. The evaluation should also be designed to detect all the important effects of the intervention, and to include the interests of all the important stakeholders. These elements of evaluation have not yet been accepted as criteria for appraising evidence on public health interventions, although they are widely accepted in standards for planning and evaluating community-based programmes.
Discuss the importance of evaluation frameworks in the context of your own project.
The above research study helps in determining how one can use the secondary data to draw the general principles for research gaps that we are required to study. It helps in how to arrive at the findings of the research process and also helps in assessing the procedure of using the secondary data to successfully conduct the study.

Discuss how public health program/service effectiveness is evaluated via research methodology and outcome measures at the Center for transfusion free medicine center. Provide an example of outcome measures used to assess effectiveness.
Choose one of the articles from the assignment, and discuss the findings. Would you apply the evidence found to your practice? Explain your answer. Translating research into practice is the final and most important step in the research process. Review information you found your nursing clinical issue and explain ways in which you would share the research-based evidence with your peers.
What is Research article? Review articles provides summary of current state of the research on a particular topic. Ideally, the writer searches for everything relevant to the topic, and then sorts it all out into a comprehensible way. Review Articles will teach you about: the main people working in a field recent major advances and discoveries significant gaps in the research current debates ideas of where research might go next There are many benefits to reading research articles (Dunifon, 2005):...
