Answer #1

Sol:

Full model: 2533.68-0.16*B+0.00002*X1sq+2.02*X1X2-0.00023*X1sqX2-3211.6

Reduced model: 2533.68+0.00002*X1sq

Test:

H0: There is no affect of X1sq.

H1: There is some affect of X1sq.

Test Statistics:

T-calculated=0.99

and P-value= 88.5

Conclusion:

From the p-value we see that it is greater than 0.05 which means we can reject the null hypotesis.

Hence,  There is some affect between of X1sq.

c.

Full model: 2474.18-0.083*B-2638.87*C+1.26*X1X2

Reduced model: 2474.18+1.26*X1X2

Test:

H0: There is no interaction affect between X1 and X2.

H1: There is some interaction affect between X1 and X2.

Test Statistics:

T-calculated=1.33

P-value= 0.18

Conclusion:

From both the p-values we see that both are greater than 0.05 which means we can reject the null hypotesis.

Hence,There is some interaction affect between X1 and X2.
