Answer #1

C.it can be achieved using only grapes

Wine making is also known as vinification. Wine making process starts with fruit selection which will be fermented to produce alcohol and which will be bottled. There are different types of wine red wine, white wine and rose. Wine is normally produced from grapes but other fruits can also be used. The alcohol content is between 15-18%. Yeast converts sugar to ethanol.

During the fermentation process for brewing beer, the brewing container (called a fermentor) is purposely not air tight and allows gases generated during the fermentation process to be released into the environment. Therefore, most brewers add a small amount of sugar to each bottle prior to bottling, which places the beer in air-tight containers. What would this accomplish? a. Brewers do this to change the taste. b. Brewers do this solely to increase the alcohol content. c. Brewers do this...

Metabolic Pathway Engineering Problem Set 5 Engineering a Fermentation System: Fermentation of plant matter to produce ethanol for fuel is one potential method for reducing the use of fossil fuels and thus the CO2 emissions that lead to global warming. Many microorganisms can break down cellulose then ferment the glucose to ethanol. However, many potential cellulose sources, including agricultural residues and switchgrass, also contain substantial amounts of arabinose, which is not as easily fermented. Escherichia coli is capable of fermenting...
