TYPES OF ROLLER CONTACT BEARING AND THEIR APPLICATION :

1. CYLINDRICAL ROLLER BEARING : they are longer than their diameter and can tolerate higher loads than simple ball bearing and can carry heavy radial loads 7 used in high speed applications.

2. TAPER ROLLER BEARING : these can support radial and thrust loads & can only handle unidirectional axial loads. (usually a pair of taper roller bearing is used to counterstay the axial load.

3.NEEDLE ROLLER BEARING : They are thinner than the conventional roller bearing,deals where radial space is constraints in heavy load or high-speed application

4. SPHERICAL ROLLER BEARING : carries heavy loads even when misalignment and deflection of shaft is their. Spherical bearing handles axial loads( in either directions) and heavy shock loads.
