a. Yes, median is a measure of position.

( Median is a measure of central tendancy which indicate the middle-most position of any data set after ranking them.)

b.i. Yes,Median, Percentiles and Quartiles are all measures of position.

( Median is a measure of central tendancy which indicate the middle-most position of any data set after ranking them.A percentile is a number where a certain percentage of data fall below that number. For example: kth percentile is the value that is greater than k% of the data values after ranking them. The Quartiles are the 3 values that divide the data into 4 equally sized groups.First quartile is denoted by Q1 and has 25% of the values less than it. Third quartile is denoted by Q3 and has 25% of the values greater than it. Second quartile, Q2= median of the data set. All three are common measures of central tendency)

ii. No, For the interpretation of standard deviation, Epirical rule doesnot apply to any data set.

( Empirical rule can be only applied for a data set which is normally distributed.)
