Hydrogen bonding is caused when H is attached to strongly electronegative element, which for example are N,O and F.

Propane has the structure of C3H8, which only contains C-C and C-H bonds. Hence the hydrogen bonding will be absent in this case.

Hydrogen bonding is present in carboxylic acids, alcohols and amines
