Why are there so few absolutes in OB? What are the challenges and opportunities for managers in using OB concepts? Critically discuss.

Observational Behaviour is the concept which reflects the situational or contingency conditions. The few absolutes in the OB which respect to the change in behaviour of the people under certain situations. If there are two people will behave differently at same situation and the same people behave differently at different situation. We cannot find accurate explanation for the change in human behaviour with valid predictions. The challenge and opportunities massively change with changing the improving productivity and business goals. Challenges and opportunities in organisational behaviour; Improvement of people's skills; environmental change, structural change and technological change leads to faster growing rate in the business field. The skills can be organised through high level of training and other career development programme. Improvement of quality of productivity; quality of the product will be based on the performance, features, conformance, reliability, durability and the services. Total quality management and reengineering programmes improve the quality level. Management of workforce diversity; employment provided for the workers from different backgrounds like gender, race, ethnicity, relation, community and physical disadvantage. This will help to tap the abilities, talents and potentials among diverse work groups. Respond towards globalisation; on the basis of this globalisation, the operations were expanded to gain the market share and remain in the top rank in business field. This expansion cannot be applied in a less developed or developing background of the business. Empowerment of the employees; encouragement given to the employees to participate in the work related decision. This will enhance the workers commitment towards work. Stimulating innovations and changes; the stimulation of business activities increases the development of the business field. This will not be applicable for the situation was conflict between the workers.
