Answer #1

2. Transcription is the process in which th genetic information stored in the DNA is copied into RNA but in a form which codes for the proteins. Then the formation of proteins following the codes from the RNA is called translation. Hence the corect answer will be - copies the genetic information required to specify one or more proteins.

3. Biofilms are slimy layers where microorganisms are living together and can immensely benefit from the presence of their various community members. Both autotrophic and heterotrophic microorganisms live together in biofilms and they often cross feed. Their interation is far above being mutualistic. They together can do things which they alone cannot. Hence the interaction is synergic. Thus correct aanwer is synergism.

4.The second point is true, chemoautotrophs obtain energy from a chemical reaction keeping their source of carbon or the oxidized form of carbon from carbon dioxide (CO2). The third point is also true as all organisms are built from the six essential elements which are carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and sulfur or CHNOPS. The fourth point is correct as well because temperature plays a very important role in microbial growth. The fifth point is also correct as essential nutrients should be provided by external source and cannot be produced. The last point is incorrect as hydrogen peroxide is not an enzyme.

Hence correct points are 2,3,4,5

8. Among the given agents, low temperature is not as such a denaturing agent. However cold denaturing also occur in certain exceptional situations.
