She is a delivery driver for a large delivery company and has never had any issues with not making her deliveries, although she understands that not all drivers are as outstanding as her. As per law, employers can install GPS int he vehicles owned by them. The employee needs to be aware of the tracking and the vehicle must belonging to the owner . Only then the employer can track the vehicle using GPS. The laws might very from place to place but the common law is that the employer cannot track personal vehicles of the employees which are not work related. They need to have the vehicles in their name to install GPS and they need to make the employees aware of the arrangement. They come under workplace monitoring and privacy laws and common laws set in for companies.
