ANS-1 The rate of unemployment was hovering around 25 percent. American factories were producing war goods and almost overnight the rate of unemployment decreases by 10 percent. As the men were fighting in war women were hired for the assembly lines as before this war women were not encouraged to go outside the home.

Houses, factories, railways, infrastructures were destroyed and affected the civilians as they were not able to meet the basic needs.
