Meaning of specie standard money:

This is the monetary unit and designed by the government of the country for its currency system basis. The monetary standard regulating the value of exchange and quantity of standard money. The country can be referred as metallic standard when standard money is chosen in the form of metal form. Basically there are three types of monetary standards:

Single standard

Double standard

Paper currency standard.
